This Son Goku figure is released by Banpresto in their Son Goku FES!! x DragonBall statue figurine series.Son Goku (孫 悟空) is the main protagonist of the media franchise. Goku first made his debut as an eccentric, monkey-tailed boy who practices martial arts and possesses superhuman strength. He meets Bulma and joins her on a journey to find the wish-granting Dragon Balls. Initially believed to have been born on Earth, Goku later learns that he is a member of an extraterrestrial warrior race called the Saiyans, which is also the reason for his superhuman strength, and his birth name is Kakarrot (カカロット). As Goku grows up, he becomes the Earth's mightiest warrior and protects his adopted home planet from those who seek to harm it.Super Saiyan 4 (スーパーサイヤ人じんフォー) is a Saiyan transformation which first appeared in Dragon Ball GT. The form is a different branch of transformation from the earlier Super Saiyan forms, such as Super Saiyan, 2 and 3. The only way a Saiyan can attain Super Saiyan 4 is if they become a Golden Great Ape (or Broly's variant) and regain conscious control over the form. Even after this form is attained, it cannot be accessed at will and requires exposure to Blutz Waves every time the user wishes to transform, however, Goku is apparently a special case, capable of using the form whenever he wishes.
